February 27 - Christianity & Gaza: Understanding & Owning Our Part in the Story
“Christians for a Free Palestine” invites you to join them on Tuesday February 27th, 10:00-11:30 PM EDT (7:00-8:30 PST), for a Zoom Teach-In. For more than three months we have witnessed horrific death, suffering, and destruction in Gaza. Many of us in the Christian community have felt overwhelmed and confused at the wide range of responses –including silence–from our siblings in faith. What action is ours to take? Do we even know enough to act?
This teach-in will unpack the relationship between Christianity and this genocide. You’ll hear personal stories, helpful information on the history of Palestine and Israel, and an overview of how Christian Zionism and settler colonialism have directly contributed to the current genocide. All are welcome! Whether this is your first time engaging with these ideas, or whether you’ve been on this journey for a while.
