From the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights - The U.S. government’s Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) is threatening to retaliate against Spain for taking a stand against genocide. We need your immediate action to support Spain’s principled decision to block military cargo to Israel.
An investigation by the Palestinian Youth Movement and Progressive International exposed Maersk’s massive weapons shipments to Israel, which violate both international and Spanish law. Spain took bold action, blocking these weapons ships from their ports.
The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) is now investigating Spain under pressure from the U.S. government, which has even threatened Spain with hefty fines for standing on the right side of history.
The deadline to submit a public comment is this Thursday, Dec. 26, so make sure you do it and tell all your friends and family as well.

Additionally, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and 11 members of Congress recently sent a powerful letter condemning this investigation and urging an end to the export of weapons that enable atrocities.
Here’s a key quote: "The U.S. has a duty to ensure its exports are not used to perpetuate war crimes. Investigating Spain for refusing to be complicit is unconscionable and undermines international efforts to promote peace and uphold human rights."
