We look forward to reconnecting onTuesday, December 10, at 12:30 pm ET for our monthly prayer meeting for Palestine. This month's meeting will be hosted by PJN co-moderator, Rev. Susan Wilder. We will be joined by Dr. Abdelfattah Abrusour of Al Rowwad in the Aida Refugee Camp.
ABDELFATTAH ABUSROURis the Executive Director of the Al-Rowwad Cultural Arts Center in the Aida Refugee Camp in Bethlehem. Educated as an engineer in France, he returned home to Aida Camp dedicated to nurturing children through music, art, dance, theater, photography, and play, Through this "Beautiful Resistance" the residents of Aida Camp resist the Israeli occupation and chart a course of hope and joy for their lives and their community.
The Israeli army is relentless in its oppression of the camp, making regular incursions and shelling it with tear gas. Most recently soldiers have entered the Al-Rowwad Cultural Center and commandeered it for their use.
