NYC! This election night, we invite you to refuse the fascist spectacle and join us for the ultimate anti-watch party. WAWOG’s town hall & fundraiser for Gaza is intended to be a space for real conversations — planned and unplanned, on and off ‘stage’ — about finding our orientation toward the state, developing a revolutionary consciousness, organizing under fascism, and more. Together with comrades from across the anti-imperialist movement in the imperial core, we will talk openly about the challenges, opportunities, and new horizons offered by this world-historical moment of rupture. Performers and readers will enliven the proceedings. Workshops will provide opportunities to learn and practice tactics and skills. And, as always, our discourse will be centered on the cause of Palestinian liberation.
WHEN? Tuesday, November 5. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Programming starts at 6 PM sharp and ends around midnight.
WHERE? Honey’s in Bushwick, 93 Scott Ave., Brooklyn
WHO? Every guest is a surprise guest. We will not be announcing the names of panelists, performers, or readers ahead of time. (Many of these names will be familiar, though.)
WHY? No matter who wins this election, the struggle continues.
HOW MUCH $$? Registration is free, but we encourage you to bring cash for at-the-door donations to MECA, the Middle East Children’s Alliance, which provides lifesaving aid to families in Gaza.
WHAT ELSE? Food will be served in the event space. Alcohol will not be served. The bar downstairs will be open.
