Don’t Look Away: Defining a Genocide

Join us for a presentation and discussion about the history and the use of the term genocide, how it can be applied to events in Palestine, and how our academic and international institutions have failed to meet the scale of this moment.

One of those academic institutions, The Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, is right here in Keene at Keene State College. For over a year, the Cohen Center has refused to recognize what is happening in Palestine as a genocide and has even justified Israel’s genocidal actions.

This event will focus on how genocide is defined, but also question the legitimacy of these institutions as they have failed to successfully intervene in the most well-documented genocide in history that is still ongoing in Palestine.
