Strategic Advocacy Briefing
Join our strategic advocacy briefing with Sam Bahour and Fred Schlomka discussing how to effectively create social change. In this time of ongoing anguish it is often difficult to know what we can do to express our solidarity and tangibly support Palestinians facing displacement, mass eviction, and unprecedented state violence.
Bringing their decades of experience in advocacy and human rights organizing to bear, Fred and Sam will speak with us about meaningful and urgent ways we can act strategically in support of besieged Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank.
Sam Bahour is a prolific advocate for justice, a pioneering businessperson, and a proud member of the Green Olive Collective. He is a Palestinian American who relocated to the West Bank after the Oslo Accords and threw himself into the development of the Palestinian economy in anticipation of Palestinian statehood. He was one of the core team that established the Palestine Telecommunications Company and is a joint founder of Americans for A Vibrant Palestinian Economy.
Fred Schlomka founded the Green Olive Collective in 2007 and has overseen the steady growth of the organisation ever since. He has been involved professionally with human rights advocacy for more than twenty-fiive years through his work with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) and many other solidarity initiatives, and was awarded a Social Entrepreneur Fellowship from the Echoing Green Foundation in New York for his work in the Middle East.
This event is free and open to the public.
