Genocide in Palestine: A Medical Perspective

Join us for a historic event as we host one of the first events at the (Dar Alhurriyah Palestine House of Freedom) on Capitol Hill.

The exhibit, "Genocide in Palestine: A Medical Perspective" explores the definition of genocide and how the genocide in Gaza in Palestine fits it. This exhibit details the role medical professionals have in combating this genocide here in the United States and the short-term and long term affects of genocide from a medical perspective. This event will be the opening night of the exhibit, which will run for two weeks.

As the genocide unfolds in Gaza, we must acknowledge these crimes and the endangered Palestinian culture in order to mobilize the international community and our communities alike to stop the genocide in Palestine.

This event will also feature a conversation between Miko Peled, Founder and President of the Palestine House of Freedom; Nurse Lana, a nurse who returned from medical mission in Gaza; Dr. Irfan Galaria, who returned from medical mission in Gaza; Dr. John Kahler, Co-founder of MedGlobal; and representatives from Doctors Against Genocide followed by Q&A.

The event, brought to you by Palestine House of Freedom, is part of Education for Peace and Understanding, a registered non- profit in the United States that works to educate and foster understanding for the sake of peace and Doctors Against Genocide, a global grassroots coalition of healthcare workers dedicated to succeeding where global governments have failed in confronting and preventing genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Doctors Against Genocide is a program of Jetpac, a 501-c3 nonprofit.

Ticket donations will go towards purchasing ambulances in the West Bank and a maternity ward in Gaza.
