Support Needed for Northampton Resolution on an Arms Embargo and Support for Bernie Sander’s Joint Resolution of Disapproval (JRD)

Please make every effort to attend the Thursday, October 17, meeting of the Northampton City Council, to speak in support of the resolution (linked below), introduced by Councilperson Jeremy Dubs, in which the City Council calls on our Congressional representatives to: (1) support Bernie Sanders' legislation expressing disapproval of a $20 billion shipment in arms for Israel, and (2) impose an immediate, total embargo on the shipment of U.S. arms to Israel.

Please be at the 10/17 Council meeting in person or online.   If you are attending in person, you sign in to speak at the speakers' podium (2-minute limit).

The resolution carries forward the call for a halt to military shipments to Israel contained in the Gaza Ceasefire resolution approved by the Northampton City Council in February.

Every person counts in getting this resolution approved.
