Film screening: From Ground Zero
From Ground Zero brings together 22 short films created by filmmakers from Gaza. Each film, ranging in length from 3 to 6 minutes, presents a unique perspective on the current reality in Gaza. Using a mix of genres including fiction, documentary, docu-fiction, animation and experimental cinema, From Ground Zero presents a rich diversity of stories that reflect the sorrow, joy, and hope inherent in Gazan life.
Only the second half of the film will be screened (the first half is part of the Boston Palestine Film Festival program). It will be in Arabic with English subtitles. Following the event a community conversation will be facilitated to process the film together.
Dinner will be provided and available at 5:45pm. Doors will close at 6:15pm.
