A Year of War: Paths to a Political Settlement in Israel and Palestine

by Boston Review

A virtual discussion with Raja Shehadeh, Shlomo Sand, Leila Farsakh, Alon-Lee Green & Rula Daood, and Helena Cobban, moderated by Barnett R. Rubin.

A year following the October 7 attacks in Israel, the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, aided by the United States, continues a war of reprisal widely condemned as genocidal. Under these conditions, what paths to a ceasefire—and a larger political resolution—are possible? What would a long-term, just, and democratic settlement look like, and how can it be achieved?
