Fashioning Hope Out of Despair: An Event to Honor Palestinian Women Prisoners and All Palestinian Prisoners

Since October 7, 2023 the number of Palestinian prisoners incarcerated has more than tripled and reports of extreme sexual violence, torture, isolation, disappearance and death of prisoners (male and female) as a result of Israeli occupation forces actions are being released on a daily basis.

Imprisonment works hand-in-hand with genocide in the Zionist effort to destroy the Palestinian people.

As prison abolitionists, including formerly and currently incarcerated people, we want to expose the U.S. government’s support for the Israeli occupation’s brutal carceral policies. We may not be able to immediately stop these atrocities, but we can uplift the names and stories of some of the impacted people and their families and build solidarity with the Palestinian prisoner organizations who are supporting them on the ground.
