Join JVP DC Metro for an in-person speaker panel event featuring three Palestinians with deep roots in Gaza, who will provide insights about the impact of Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza, Israel’s long history of brutal injustice of the enclave, and a way forward.

Speakers: Dorgham Abusalim: Analyst and communications professional from Gaza. The author of In the Haze of Fifty-One Days, published in the anthology, LIght in Gaza: Writings Born of Fire. His writings have been published in Haaretz, Palestine Square, Mondoweiss, and the Washington Blade, among other media outlets and publications. He earned a masters degree in international affairs with a focus on international law from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland. / Mohammed Arafat: Palestinian poet and writer from Gaza who aims to give voice to the voiceless, unite communities, and shed light on the indomitable spirit of his people. Author of the short novel, “Still Living There,” and founding writer with “We Are Not Numbers.” He expects to publish his first book of poetry in summer 2024. / Philip Farah: Palestinian co-founder of Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace with deep family roots in Gaza. His writings have been published in several news outlets and publications, including the Huffington Post and NY Daily News. He was recently interviewed by Democracy Now, NPR, the Guardian, and other media outlets about the impact of the war upon Christian Gazans.
