Sunday, September 10, 2:00 PM EDT (Doors open at 1:00 for in person attendance)
Please join the Palestine Museum for the opening of a special exhibit about the Palestinian thobe featuring 20 thobes selected from the Museum’s textile collection, several embroidery pieces, artwork depicting thobes and tatreez, and several photographs of diaspora Palestinian women clad in a variety of new styles of thobes. Featured artwork includes works by the following artists: Renate Ghannam, Samar Husseini, Maher & Irina Naji, Halima Aziz, Maysaloun Faraj, and Tabea Marie Kerschbaumer.
At this event, Hanan Karaman Munayyer will (virtually) review the twenty thobes in the exhibit identifying the style and origin of each thobe.
This is a Hybrid Event, meaning you can attend virtually via Zoom or in-person at the Palestine Museum US. You may register either way and can later change your mode of attendance any time.
