Each year, the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine (AFRP) organizes a Summit in Washington, DC, where dedicated young adults from across the country convene to advocate for Palestinian human rights on Capitol Hill and build power within the Palestinian American community. Participants will have the opportunity to meet directly with Members of Congress and their staffers to voice their concerns over Israel's ongoing occupation and human rights violations, and advocate for the advancement of legislation and policy that holds Israel accountable and defends Palestinians' rights.

Participants are encouraged to become involved in and seek out leadership roles within the AFRP.

This year's Day of Action will take place on October 19-22, 2023. Selected participants' travel costs and hotel accommodations will be covered by the AFRP and their local Ramallah club chapter.

Requirements:

Applicants must be between 21-35 years old to participate

Applications must be completed and submitted by August 25th

Applicants’ family must be in good standing with the Federation (current with their membership)

Applicants must have a proven interest in political advocacy and understanding of issues related to Palestine.

Selected participants MUST be able to attend TWO mandatory Zoom meetings held in September/October in preparation of the event.
