Join Adalah Justice Project and the Progressive Workers Union’s (PWU) Sierra Club workers for a behind the scenes look into how PWU successfully passed a resolution to stand in solidarity with Palestinians, and how they are continuing to organize their workplaces.
This resolution is more than just a symbolic gesture. The unit has committed to investigate union finances to ensure they are not contributing to Israeli oppression of Palestinians, and includes a commitment to actively oppose "any workplace practices that contribute to the colonization and oppression of Palestinians and other Indigenous peoples everywhere."
This resolution is a clear message from Sierra Club workers to management that continuing “nature” trips to an apartheid state––despite the call from Palestinians to boycott Israel––does not align with a true vision of environmental justice.
