There are nearly five thousand Palestinians who languish in Israeli occupation prisons scattered across historic Palestine. More than a thousand are under administrative detention, 155 are child prisoners and 32 are women prisoners. From solitary confinement to medical neglect and death, the statistics are staggering. The struggle of Palestinian political prisoners has impacted nearly every home and family in Palestine and remains a central issue in the struggle for freedom and liberation. Ms. Sahar Francis, from ADDAMEER Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, will give an overview on current conditions of prisoners with a focus on prisoner health and the consequences of policies of willful neglect.
