(In Person event) Join the Jerusalem Fund & Palestine Center to hear guest speaker Fayrouz Sharqawi, a renowned Palestinian activist and co-founder and former director of Grassroots Al-Quds. This exclusive event offers you a unique opportunity to gain insight into the reality in Palestine, with a particular focus on Jerusalem.
Fayrouz will delve into the Palestinian Unity Uprising of May 2021, which marked a new chapter in the Palestinian struggle for liberation. She will discuss the unwavering determination of Palestinians in their homeland and in the diaspora as they confront Israel’s oppressive regime. From Sheikh Jarrah to Gaza, and from Masafer Yatta to Huwara, Fayrouz will shed light on the challenges Palestinians face and the ways they overcome fragmentation, isolation, and Israel’s relentless attacks on their lives and dignity.
Central to this ongoing struggle is the city of Jerusalem, where Palestinians endure immense pressure from the Israeli regime. Fayrouz will emphasize Jerusalem’s critical role as a battleground for Palestinian perseverance against erasure.
