Courage in the Unknown: Exploring New Possibilities
This conversation will be led by two Palestinian activists, Ahmed Helou and Nizar Farsakh, and two Israeli activists, Hadar Cohen and Avi Dabush. The discussion will be moderated by Luma Eldin and Ben Yeger.
Two of our speakers, Avi and Ahmed, will share how they have been intimately impacted by the violence. Avi is CEO of Rabbis for Human Rights and a survivor of the massacre at Kibbutz Nirim in the Negev. Ahmed is a former Hamas member, second generation refugee, and long-term CfP member. Ahmed has lost over 51 loved ones in Gaza.
As we navigate through the painful unknown, we continue to listen to those on the ground who courageously remain in partnership. Yesterday, Combatants for Peace's Palestinian Executive Director, Rana Salman, spoke with May Pundak and CNN's Christiane Amanpour about a shared vision for the future in Israel and Palestine. 'We feel the pain of the other... Our lives are intertwined,' Rana explained.
We encourage you to listen and share this interview with others and help us amplify the powerful work of peacebuilders who working to co-create a future of freedom for all.
If you are unable to attend the talk on Friday, please register to receive the recording. We look forward to being together soon.
