Palestine: The Land of The Prophets

Part of the The Holy Land collection

Discover the captivating history and spiritual significance of Palestine, sacred land of Prophets, as told from a Jerusalemite scholar

By Tethered: inspiring a tethering to holy lands as a united, global community

In the name of God, The Most High

Our teacher, Ustadh Ehab Jallad, is a lifelong and current resident of occupied East Jerusalem. He will share historic and modern photos, videos, and maps creating as much of a digital tourism and educational experience while sharing true accounts of the sociopolitical realities of living in and being from this sacred, sought after land.

You can expect to become oriented to the geographic land of Palestine being able to name several cities and the prophets who lived and/or are buried in them. The first session will focus on the beginning of humankind through the story of the first human and prophet: Adam (peace and blessings be upon him). The series may continue sharing about later prophets depending on demand.

This class will sample a larger virtual series, designed to inspire a genuine understanding and connection to Palestine: the ancestral and spiritual homeland of dozens of the holy prophets - peace and blessings be upon them - whose life stories are described in the Torah, the Gospels, and the final book sealing divine revelation - The Quran.

To register: Palestine: The Land of The Prophets Tickets, Wed, Dec 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM | Eventbrite zoom link will be provided by email

Ustadh Ehab Jallad, holds a PhD in Islamic History, has written several books on the history of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque compound including children's books, and has produced short historical films and virtual educational games. As a lifelong resident of Jerusalem living under the occupation, his storytelling method is greatly shaped by his lived reality and perspective on social justice. He currently works as a full-time tour guide, and has been unable to teach or tell stories of the land since the escalated hostile tension since the onslaught of the aggressive war on Gaza.

The class will be ~90 minutes beginning with a grounding, pulse check on current events, an hour-long lecture by Br. Ehab, and a Q&A session. We may leave the room open for longer if people want to discuss any items further with Ustadh Ehab. The series may continue sharing about later prophets depending on demand.
