How to Have Hard Conversations for BIJOCSM Peoples: A Workshop
About this event
Anyone who identifies as a Black Jew, Indigenous Jew, Non-Black Jew of Color, Sephardi or Mizrahi Jew is welcome at this workshop. If that's not you, we'll have more How to Have Hard Conversations workshops soon, open to everyone.
Join our workshop on How To Have Hard Conversations for BIJOCSM Peoples, led by JVP-SWANA and JVP-NY leader Esther Farmer, and facilitated by JVP BIJOCSM Manager Shirly Bahar.
It’s especially challenging right now to talk to our communities about Palestinian liberation. During the workshop, we’ll practice having difficult conversations about Zionism, Palestine, Israeli apartheid, Gaza and other topics, using modeling, role play, and other tactics.
You’ll walk away with new skills you can put to practice in your everyday life, and the confidence to know that you don’t need to know it all to talk with your friends and family about Palestine.
