Do you have questions about what is going on in Israel and Gaza? Are you looking for background information or resources to help you understand the context of the conflict?
The Hotline for Israel/Palestine (HIP) is a resource to help you understand what is going on in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.
Founded by a Harvard junior, it is an educational texting hotline promoting dialogue for peace. When you ask a question, volunteers will provide information from a diverse range of sources, and give you the opportunity for dialogue. Their volunteers — some of whom are also Harvard students — comprise Jews, Muslims, and Christians, as well as Palestinians and Israelis.
The Hotline is LIVE for use; simply text 617-313-2125.
HIP is also looking for more volunteers and members of their leadership team. For more information, visit HIP (hotlineforip.com) or contact hotlineforip@gmail.com

The Hotline for Israel/Palestine is an educational initiative dedicated to transparent, multi-partisan, and dialogue-focused education around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We believe that naivete and judgment are barriers to nuanced conversations — barriers that can lead to hate on all sides — and that education and dialogue are the best ways to counter that hate. However, it’s often hard to know where to start. Through our texting hotline service and educational resources, we teach people how to educate themselves by answering questions, providing resources from many perspectives, and helping people develop their own informed and nuanced positions.
