IfNotNow is bringing Jews and allies back to Congress to pressure our elected officials to support a ceasefire, NOW. This is the only way to equality, justice, and liberation for all Palestinians and Israelis.
Many of us are feeling scared right now.
For the Palestinians facing relentless bombing by the Israeli military every night and day. For the 200+ Israeli hostages being held in Gaza. For the countless people who will die if this war escalates further. We’ve got work to do to stop this bloodshed.
Over these past weeks, war-mongering politicians have poured gasoline on this war, even as Israeli leaders openly call for genocide and ethnic cleansing. But we are not going to let that happen. As we mourn the thousands of Palestinians and Israelis injured, captured, and killed, we are going to continue to fight for a ceasefire and safe return of hostages NOW.
And, our effort is working. As of this email, 17 members of Congress have signed on to the Ceasefire Now Resolution. That’s a start, but the drums of war are loud, and we need to be louder.
This Wednesday we’re going back to D.C. to demand every member of Congress sign on to the Ceasefire Now Resolution. Will you join us and add your voice to the growing, thunderous movement working to stop this bloodshed?
If you need a way to get there or a place to stay, we're organizing buses and housing for people coming from the Northeast. Fill out the form and you'll get more information on requesting travel and housing assistance.
These weeks have pushed our limits, but we will not stand by as innocent lives are lost. We must continue to show up for peace and remind our politicians that real people are dying in Gaza as a direct result of U.S.-backed Israeli airstrikes, and that more Palestinians and Israelis will needlessly die the longer this war goes on.
