Enduring Colonialisms: Settler-Colonial Contexts
The discourse on decolonization traditionally focuses on former colonies, relegating colonization to a historical phenomenon. Yet, colonialism is an ongoing reality for the many populations - across the globe - living under settler-colonial rule. In this panel, we will consider how identity, land, power, and economic exploitation inform settler colonial contexts as well as contemplate how academics, policymakers, and activists can interrogate settler colonialism within their practice.
