10/19 Gaza and the Struggle for Palestine (Sales End Soon)

Thursday, October 19, 1:00 PM EDT

Part of the Until Liberation: A Series for Palestine collection - Haymarket Books

Join us for a series of urgent conversations about the current situation and the history, politics and stakes of Palestinian liberation.

Early on Saturday, October 7th, Palestinian resistance fighters broke through Israel’s siege of Gaza, capturing areas adjacent to Gaza, taking hostages, and launching thousands of rockets. Hours later, Israel declared total war on Gaza, and has vowed to cut its supply of food, electricity, and water, while bombing the Strip and killing entire families.

This webinar, featuring Noura Erakat, Mariam Barghouti, and Toufic Haddad, will discuss how to understand the current situation in Palestine, the 17-year siege of Gaza, and questions of resistance, colonialism, the role of Biden and US imperialism, and mass struggle.

This event is part of Until Liberation: A Series for Palestine by Haymarket Books, cosponsored by Palestinian American Organizations Network, Mondoweiss, Spectre, Dissenters, Tempest, and more.
