Details: Saturday, July 17, 2021 - 1:00pm EST (please RSVP: By July 15, 2021) - The symposium will provide detailed information on the current situation in occupied East Jerusalem and examine the latest legal developments in Al-Masjid al-Aqsa, Sheikh Jarrah, and Silwan. It will focus on the ongoing Israeli policies and practices of changing the demographics and status quo of East Jerusalem, such as evictions of Palestinians from their homes and demolition of Palestinian houses and other structures. It will explore a new approach for East Jerusalem in a new political environment where resilient growth could be stimulated through tourism and infrastructure projects as well as opportunities to intensify international and regional support for East Jerusalem.
