Details: Jun 29, 2021 07:30 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada) - Dr. Tarek Loubani, a Canadian of Palestinian origin, practices emergency medicine at the London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario, one of the best equipped medical facilities in Canada.
But he also practices at Al Shifa hospital in Gaza, which struggles with inadequate resources, and a COVID pandemic under the dangerous conditions of the Israeli occupation. In 2018 Israeli forces shot Loubani in both legs while he was in Gaza providing medical care during the Great March of Return.
In this interesting webinar, OFIP Chair Peter Larson, and a panel of two other experts, will interview Dr. Loubani about why he keeps going back to Gaza, the challenges he and his Palestinian colleagues face, and what he thinks should be done.
