Details: Voices from the Holy Land, in conjunction with American Muslims for Palestine, invites you to our fourteenth monthly Online Film Salon to be held on Sunday, June 13th. Participants will discuss the award winning documentary “Radiance of Resistance”. "Radiance of Resistance" tells the story of Janna Jihad (9 years old at the time of filming) and Ahed Tamimi (14 years old at the time of filming) that live under military occupation in Nabi Saleh, Palestine. Janna has been called the youngest journalist in Palestine. In 2017, at age 10, she was awarded an International Benevolence Award in Istanbul, Turkey and met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This film will take an intimate look Janna’s and Ahed’s everyday lives and their importance as the new generation of Palestinian non-violent resistance. [59 minutes]
Filmmaker Jesse Roberts and Palestinian youth journalist Janna Jihad will participate in a Q&A panel discussion. Ariana Bazlamit, Palestinian American activist will moderate the Q&A discussion.
