Voices from the Holy Land Online Film Salon: "MAYOR"

This is the thirteenth monthly Online Film Salon to be held on Sunday, May 16th at 1 pm EDT byVoices from the Holy Land, in conjunction with Richmonders for Peace in Israel-Palestine and the Arab American Association of Central Virginia.

Participants will discuss the award winning documentary “MAYOR.” Please watch the film at your convenience and then join us for the online discussion (register for access).
MAYOR follows Musa Hadid, the Christian mayor of Ramallah, during his second term in office. His immediate goals: repave the sidewalks, attract more tourism, and plan the city’s Christmas celebrations. His ultimate mission: to end the occupation of Palestine. MAYOR offers a portrait of dignity amidst the madness and absurdity of endless occupation while posing a question: How do you run a city when you don’t have a country?
