An evening to engage and commemorate the Nakba, the catastrophe, the founding of the state of Israel, and the ongoing destruction of the Palestinian homeland. Key note Speaker Faisal Saleh. Of the Palestine Museum US in Ct. Film, stories, poetry, and speakers on how do we create a true and just peace for the people of Palestine. Poetry of the Palestinian struggle read by Javed Chaudhri. Namaya poet & artist has traveled & performed in Palestine- stories from Witness: Israel Palestine. Also, select art from the Palestine Museum US. Dr. Janaki Natarajan - Educational leader will also speak.

Iftar- The breaking of the fast for Ramadan will be observed with light refreshments.

Key Note Speaker is Faisal Saleh: Founder of the Palestinian Museum US - Located in Woodbridge, Connecticut, Museum opened its doors on April 22, 2018. It represents the leading Palestinian artists and show case work from Palestine.

Born in 1951, Saleh is the youngest of eleven children. They were among the 700,000 Palestinians who were left homeless by the creation of the state of Israel. For Palestinians, this was the Nakba—the life-changing catastrophe.
