A Stand Out in Solidarity with Gaza - featuring several speakers.
Tear Down the Walls: The Great March of Return in Gaza, One Year On Palestinians and their allies in Boston and across the world will gather to commemorate the first anniversary of the Great March of Return, which began in the Gaza Strip last year. On Land Day 2018, 30,000 Palestinians marched in an attempt to return home to the villages they were forced to flee 70 years ago, many of which lay just across the fences that surround Gaza.
The Boston Palestine Solidarity Network (BPSN) is a Palestinian-led group that is organizing an important Land Day Event for March 30, 2019: Tear Down the Walls: The Great March of Return in Gaza, One Year On. It is highly likely that there will be major bloodshed that Friday and we want to be ready with a united Boston protest. Given that, the purpose of the event is three-fold:
First, to commemorate the first anniversary of the Great March of Return, which began in the Gaza Strip on Land Day 2018.
Second, to celebrate Land Day, which centers land and the right of Palestinians’ right to return to it, connecting it to indigenous and immigrant struggles here.
Third, to develop a Palestinian-led infrastructure for rapid response in the Boston Palestine solidarity community. We want to respond rapidly to Israeli attacks on marchers, but also to develop an organizational infrastructure for future aggression.
To that end, the BPSN team would like to invite your organize to participate in the March 30 action in four ways:
Let us know if your organization is interested in being listed as a supporter of the event.
Do not schedule other events for March 30 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm
Disseminate the March 30 action widely on social media, sendouts, etc.
Fully mobilize your members to participate.
