DEFEND OUR RIGHT TO BOYCOTT, AGAIN!

  • Gardener Auditorium at the Massachusetts State House 24 Beacon Street Boston, MA, 02133 United States (map)

Our right to boycott is once again under threat. You may remember the spectacular hearing in 2017, when hundreds of activists showed up to oppose a bill to penalize support for the Palestinian BDS movement and to curtail our right to boycott; that bill never left committee because of its many legal, political and moral problems. But guess what? The same bill is back in front of the Massachusetts legislature now. The old House bill (No.1685 from 1/17/17) has been re-filed as H. 2719, an act prohibiting discrimination in state contracts. It is the very same bill with the same first amendment problems. It was wrong then and it is wrong now!!

A hearing on H. 2719 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 19. Arrive to testify and/or witness from 10:30 am at the Gardener Auditorium of the State House. Expert panels will be testifying against the bill but individuals can testify as well.
