In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace. The egalitarian, bi-national, grassroots organization was founded on the belief that Israelis and Palestinians must work together to end the Occupation and all forms of violence.  Combatants for Peace is committed to nonviolence and seeks to build a joint activist community promoting freedom and security for both peoples.
