Are you confused about what pinkwashing is, and wanting to learn? Are you familiar with pinkwashing but not sure how it manifests in our local communities? Are you looking for ways to build political community and prepare for PRIDE?

Join us for the screening of a 1 hour documentary produced by queer and trans folks about pinkwashing, or the exploitation of LGBT people and rights as a tactic for whitewashing Israeli human rights abuses. It follows Seattle queer and trans activists successfully lobbying their local LGBT Commission to drop an Israeli-government-supported tour featuring gay and lesbian activists.

Honoring the observance of Ramadan, light snacks and refreshments will be enjoyed after 8:30  Good conversation and learning will be facilitated. Co-sponsored by JVP-Boston, Black and Pink, The Network/La Red, and Moishe Kavod House.
