Palestinian-American Leila Abdelrazaq, author of the graphic novel Baddawi, in conversation with Prof. Amahl Bishara.
Baddawi is a visually stunning memoir of the author's father as a young boy struggling to find his place in the world. Raised in a refugee camp called Baddawi in northern Lebanon at the onset of civil war, Ahmad is just one of the thousands of Palestinians who fled their homeland as the state of Israel was established in 1948. Toufic El Rassi, illustrator and author of Arab in America, describes Baddawi as “heartfelt and poignant.…a vital read."
