Gideon is a well-known, veteran Israeli columnist for the country’s daily newspaper Haaretz and a member of its editorial board. He is the author of the weekly Twilight Zone feature, which has covered the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Gaza over the last 25 years.  He is the recipient of numerous international journalism and human rights awards.  During the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict, the chairman of the Likud/Yisrael Beiteinu faction in the Knesset called for Levy to be put on trial for treason.

Suhail is the Head of the Settlements Monitoring Department at the Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the self-reliance of the Palestinian people and sustainable development in the occupied Palestinian territories.  He is a frequent contributor to a number of print and online publications, including the prestigious Ma’an News Agency and the Palestinian-Israeli Journal.
