In recognition of Martin Luther King Day, the Middle East Study Group of the Keene Unitarian Universalist Church will bring author Josh Reubner to Keene on Friday, January 16. Reubner is Policy Director of the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation and former analyst in Middle East Affairs at the Congressional Research Service.
Reubner co-founded Jews for Peace in Palestine and Israel in 2000, which has since merged with Jewish Voice for Peace. He is in New England promoting his most recent book, Shattered Hopes: Obama’s Failure to Broker Israeli-Palestinian Peace, published by Verso Books. Reubner is an eloquent speaker and has contributed articles for USA Today, Los Angeles Times and the Huffington Post.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Parish Hall of the church, located at 69 Washington Street, Keene, NH from 7-9pm. (603) 228-0559
