The American Friends of the Palestinian House of Friendship in Nablus (West Bank) support the work of Prof. Mohammed Sawalha, the director of PHF-- founded by him in 1994. PHF is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to serving the needs of children, youth and their families in nearby villages and the surrounding refugee camps. It does not receive any funding from Wthe Palestinian Authority. PHF provides a summer camp for more than 400 children and supports a Girl Scout troop, classes in civic education, a skateboard park and playground, embroidery workshops and a recording studio for creating music and oral histories. American friends include chapters in the Boston area, western Mass, southern Vermont and Brooklyn, NY.
