Fundraiser: Palestinian Cooking Workshop (Brookline, MA)

The most delicious fundraiser you've ever been to!  To benefit the scholarship fund for activists participating in the Health and Human Rights Project (HaHRP).

Learn how to prepare maqlubeh*, the national dish of Palestine, and an Arabic salad with Nidal Al-Azraq, who grew up in the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, and is now the executive director of 1for3.org.

While the food is in the oven, we will hear a report-back from Alice Rothchild on her recent trip to Gaza.

COST: $50-$100, sliding scale  Event page (register for directions).  Register here by May 29th.

*Maqlubeh is gluten-free, and we will make both a vegetarian and a meat version. Additionally, we will be serving dessert, tea, coffee and wine.
